Guardian Heat Shrink Sleeve Systems

Guardian Heat Shrink Sleeve Systems are polyethylene films laminated with either butyl rubber or copolymer anti-corrosion adhesives. When heated, the sleeves recover to their original dimensions from the radiation cross-linking process, providing excellent adhesion and long-term corrosion protection.

These sleeves conform tightly to the pipe surface during installation, offering strong mechanical protection against cracking, moisture transmission, and external damage. With superior cathodic disbondment resistance, chemical resistance, and long-lasting durability, they are a reliable solution for pipeline protection in demanding environments.

For applications requiring high lap shear resistance such as HDD, or to mirror the performance of a 3LPE coating on the main linepipe, the Guardian Epoxy Primer is applied prior to the installation of a copolymer adhesive sleeve.
